It all began in late 2003 when South Shore Staffing’s founder, Ed McDaid set out to support the people and businesses of the South Shore community just like his father did with McDaid Insurance. With 14 years of experience in the staffing industry working for and learning from some of the largest firms in the business, Ed had a vision of how things could be done differently and South Shore Staffing was born. Ed knew the firms he worked for had great systems and procedures but sometimes clients and candidates got lost in the process. Ed began his mission by providing the kind of dedication and service you get from a local business owner. He created a company that’s unlike any other staffing firm, one that prides itself on service, caring and commitment while making a positive impact on the South Shore.
South Shore Staffing was quickly established as the premier staffing firm for local businesses and local candidates south of Boston. Over the past 10 years, South Shore Staffing survived the lows during the Great Recession and emerged with our best year ever in 2012. The SSS team also pulled through an extremely tough year in 2013 with the tragic passing of our founder, Ed McDaid.
