A note from current SSS President, Linda McDaid:
Today we take the time to remember the Founder of South Shore Staffing, Ed McDaid. It has been three years since Ed left us unexpectedly. We miss his bright smile, good nature, jokes and genuine compassion and concern for others.
I believe it was this compassion and concern that ultimately led him to work in the staffing business. Helping people find positions that they enjoyed, while also filling a need for clients to find the right person for the job was his passion. People still tell me how much he helped them both in good and bad times.
Ed would be proud that SSS is continuing in this mission of providing jobs in the local community (although there’s no doubt he would be thrilled with the weekend sweep of the Yankees!). Having that community support has allowed us to continue placing people in the right positions. My brother worked hard to make sure that South Shore Staffing had a stellar reputation and operated without question in the most ethical manner, and we continue to pride ourselves on this. I know he would be very excited that SSS made the BBJ list of Top Temporary Placement Firms in 2015.
Ed is with us in spirit every day as we continue his legacy. I want to thank the employees for doing an outstanding job, the clients who support SSS with their continuing business and the local community.
In Ed’s memory, please take the time today to thank others for a job well done, say some kind words to someone, have some fun and appreciate your loved ones while they are here with you. Enjoy your day as we remember that life can be far too short.
Miss you Ed!
