We are thrilled to announce a long-time friend of SSS, Lorraine Palm, as our Employee of the Month for May! Lorraine, a resident of Abington, has worked three assignments for us since we initially met her back in 2011 and is currently working an Executive Assistant at Electroswitch in Weymouth.
Shortly after meeting Lorraine, we sent her out to interview for a newly created Executive Assistant role in Westwood where she’d be supporting the Owner and staff. She was hired immediately and converted to a perm employee after just two months. Unfortunately we re-started our search for her a little over a year later after the company slowed down and she was laid off.
We tried to get her into a few more roles and in 2014, placed her in a long-term temporary position in Braintree where she received excellent feedback and her duration was continuously extended. Because she needed something permanent, Lorraine eventually returned to a former employer in late 2014 but always stayed in touch with us (thankfully!).
When we ran into Lorraine at a job fair in 2017, we were excited to get the chance to work with such a terrific candidate again. She went out on several interviews for us but nothing seemed to pan out until last summer when Electroswitch needed an Executive Assistant and she was hired in August. After almost a year there, Lorraine is a natural fit. She loves the company and the feeling seems to be mutual as her department had a cake and gathering to celebrate her receiving our award. It’s hard not to love Lorraine’s spunky personality and selfless, driven and committed work ethic.
Lorraine, we are so lucky to get to work with such a hard-working, professional and overall terrific person as you! We couldn’t be more grateful for such a stellar representative of South Shore Staffing to be working for us. This award is long overdue and you more than deserve it.
