Hello 2023! I’m ready for my BEST year yet!

NEW YEAR NEW JOB!!

I hate to break it to you…this probably won’t be the easiest resolution you’ve ever made, but you CAN do it!  The journey to find that ideal position, should become your top focus. Which means, you must get to work!   You can count on deadlines, pressure, and competition!  Handling them effectively, builds the confidence in yourself for the world to see.  When you finally do achieve your career goal, after putting in the hours and effort… the pay-off will be priceless!

Getting started is often the hardest part of the process.

Try these tips:

  1. SET GOALS AND COMMIT

Setting goals helps you stay focused and motivated.  There is a wise saying, “fail to plan, or plan to fail”.  After you’ve set your goals, COMMIT to seeing them through.  Be about that ACTION.

  1. ACT WITH INTENTION

Acting with intention keeps you focused on the end result, and the positive changes you are trying to achieve in your career.  Commit to the things that align with your true career desires moving forward.

  1. NETWORK

Networking is almost guaranteed to help you advance… when done correctly.  Get out of your comfort zone and start networking on-line and in person.  Connections made at events, job fairs, etc. become priceless resources in your job search.

  1. SEEK HELP

Finally, don’t forget to seek help from those you know and trust.  They can provide insight, experience, and utilize their own contacts to get you moving in the right direction.  It’s okay to ask for help!

Whether you are looking for temporary, temp-to-hire, or direct hire work, partnering with a staffing agency for your job search has many advantages:

  • Resume assistance
  • Skill assessments
  • A reliable source of current information in many different fields.
  • Provide opportunities for open positions: temp, temp-to-hire, and direct placement.
  • Accepting temporary roles will provide experience in different areas, while still on the search for the right position.
  • Positions that are not public, and daily communication directly with decision makers.
  • The agency has the relationship vs. sending your resume into a blackhole.

When you DO finally get that new role…and you will, take a moment to congratulate yourself for a JOB well done!!!  Then it’s time to EXHALE and CELEBRATE!!
